Four Million Nigerians Have Type 2 Diabetes

Over four million Nigerians are living with Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus, a chronic condition that affects metabolism of glucose in the body, a study has said.
[/b]The study, led by researchers at the Covenant University, Ota, noted that 4.7 million Nigerians between the ages of 20-79 years were living with the condition. The study was published by the British Medical Journal.[b]

NYSC member dies of lassa fever in Cross River state

A member of the National Youth Service Coprs NYSC, Onwuegbuzie Stanley-Samuel, who was serviving in Cross Rivers state, has died of Lassa fever disease at the University of Calabar Teaching Hospital (UCTH) Thursday May 12th. Nigerian man apprehended at Malawi airport for "attempting to externalize US$7,000"


The Malawi Police at Kamuzu International Airport (KIA), Lilongwe, on Monday afternoon May 8 arrested a 43-year old Nigerian national for attempting to externalise US$7,000 (MK5 million), which was hidden in his hand luggage.
KIA Spokesperson Sapulain Chitonde, identified the suspect as Egemonye Christian Chinedu, from Nnewi and holder of a Nigerian Passport number A05010761.
