Difference between Vision and Dream

Key Difference: ‘Vision’ means the ability to
see, or plan something for the future. It is an
image that you want to create. ‘Dream’ is a
state of being completely occupied by one’s
own thought. It is also the thoughts and
pictures in the mind that come mostly during
sleep.

How Many Packet Of Floor Tiles Do You Need To Tile A Room?

How Many Packet Of Tiles Will Be Used For One
Room?
Today i will be using a One Room Apartment as a
case study and would also like to write this
based on my environment, Nigeria.
I am going to write based on Nigeria because
some few things i may mention here may not
apply to other countries. But i know most times
what is applicable here in Nigeria also applies
elsewhere.
So you'd like to tile your home, but do not know
how many packets of tiles that would complete
the project and would also not want some tiler to
come and over estimate the whole thing right?
Ok, Here we will try to make this simple for you...
The first thing you must understand or know
when calculating the number of packets of tiles to
purchase for your home is the dimension of the
room or apartment you'd like to tile.
Let me Use a single room now...
A room measuring
L = 2.5m
W = 2.4m
Now having measure the length and width and
obtained the figures above, lets now get the area
of the entire room to be tiled
How To Calculate The Area Of A Room
Now Area = L x B
Area = 2.5 X 2.4
Total Area = 6m2
What this means is that the area of the room is 6
square meters and so, how many packet of tiles
do i buy for this project?
In order to be able to calculate the number of
packets of tiles to buy, you must first know the
dimension of the particular tile you're buying
I love using the 400mm x 400mm tile because its
easy to calculate, this does not however mean i
cannot handle any type of tile out there.
Floor Tiles And Dimension
Here in Nigeria, Floor Tiles has the following
dimensions:
400 x 400
400 x 250
250 x 250
300 x 300
For the sake of this tutorial, i am going to use a
400mm x 400mm tile.
OK....
Now, For every Packet, There are 12 Pieces
Now you need to know how many square meters
there are in one packet of tile.
How to Calculate the area of a Floor tile
You can also go further to know the area of one
tile by simply multiplying 400 x 400 = 0.16m2
The Area Of One Packet Of Tiles
Now since the area of one tile is 0.16m2, there
are 12 tiles in one packet
Therefore the total area in one packet of tile
would be 12 x 0.16 = 1.92m2
Now in one Packet of tile, we have 1.92m2
How many packet Of Tiles will be just enough for
my room measuring 6m2?
In Order to know this, quickly divide 6 by 1.92
(6/1.92 = 3.125)
The number of Packets would be 3.125
But we also know that there is no way you'd
wanna approximate a packet of tile ans so you'll
need to buy 4 packets of tiles for your Room.
Things You Must Have In Mind When Tiling Your
Room
Please Note: You're also going to need some
extra piece of tile for the skirting since you need
skirting to make the work a perfect one.
You are also going to Buy 2 Bags of Cement
(Depending on the thickness of the mortar)...
You are also required to hire the services of an
experienced Tiler...

Sierra Leone Pastor Discovers 706-Carat Diamond, Gives It To Government

A pastor in Sierra Leone has unearthed a 706-
carat diamond, according to the government, in
one of the largest precious stone finds ever made
worldwide.
The discovery was made by Pastor Emmanuel
Momoh in an artisanal mine in the village of
Koyadu in eastern Kono district, a government
statement said on Thursday.
"A 706-carat diamond was presented to President
Dr Ernest Bai Koroma yesterday evening," the
statement said.
"Receiving the diamond President Koroma
thanked the chief and his people for not
smuggling the diamond out of the country," it
added, referring to the Tankoro chiefdom where
Momoh uncovered the gem.
The diamond will be sold in Sierra Leone with a
"transparent" bidding process to the benefit of the
community and country, the statement said.
"I have to help the government and my people, so
all of us can benefit," presidential spokesman
Abdulai Bayraytay quoted the pastor as saying.
Sierra Leone's government has attempted to
crack down on cross-border diamond trafficking
to persuade foreign investors that "blood
diamonds" that fuelled its civil war are a thing of
the past.
'Exceptional discovery'
Diamond expert Paul Zimnisky told the AFP news
agency that once the gem's quality was assessed
it could rank "between the 10th and 15th largest
gem-diamonds ever recovered".
The US-based analyst said such a find by a so-
called artisanal miner, the term for workers who
use basic tools or their bare hands to sift the
earth, was highly unusual.
"Most recent exceptional diamond discoveries
have been made by large commercial miners that
mine very large volumes of kimberlite ore and
process it with advanced equipment," Zimnisky
said.
Even though diamonds can be found in about a
quarter of Sierra Leone, the country of about six
million people is one of the world's five poorest
nations, according to the United Nations.

WAEC Results To Be Released 60 Days After Exams

The West African Examination Council [WAEC] has
made known to the general public that the
council has decided to release examination
results 60days after the last examination prior to
the last 90 days earlier been released.
The WAEC HNO Olu Adenipekun, told the News
Agency of Nigeria that the waiting days will now
be 60 days as against 90 days previously.
Mr. Adenipekun spoke with NAN on the side-line
of the council’s 65th anniversary celebration
which began on Thursday in Lagos.
According to him, the development is one of such
steps being taken by the council to meet its
mandate of delivering quality service to all
stakeholders.
“All hands must be on deck to ensure that the
innovation, tagged: `Project 60’, is effective from
this year.
“For sometimes now, we normally use about 90
days, from the day of the last paper of the
examination to release the result.
“For the past 15 months, when I assumed office
as the HNO in Nigeria, we have been working to
reduce that `waiting period’ by 50 per cent.
“This is what initially brought about what we had
also called `Project 45’ but we want to take it
gradually,” Mr. Adenipekun said.
He told NAN that for the 2017 May/June
WASSCE, which is about to start, the intention of
the board was to release the result within 60 to
65 days.
“So, this is how we came about ‘Project 60’; and
in the coming years, the council will talk about
`Project 45’,” he said.
He added that council was hoping that in the next
two years, it would be able to release results of
its examinations within 45 days after the last
paper is taken. On whether the development was
tied to the JAMB’s insistence that candidates
should make their WASSCE results available as
prerequisite for admissions, the HNO said that it
was not meant to address any issue.
Mr. Adenipekun noted that one of the major
objectives for introducing project 60 was to
reposition the council and portray it as an
organisation that was delivering its mandate.
According to him, WAEC should also be seen as
being always ready to review its operations and
delivery time. “This may also come as good news
for our current SSS 3 students, who are about to
write the 2017 WASSCE.
“Basically there is need for our SSS 3 students to
be happy because they are our principal
stakeholders.
“I am sure reducing the waiting period will even
make them happier,” he said.

Akwa Ibom Tops 2016 FAAC Allocation With Over N116.6 Billion – NEITI - Politics

The Nigeria Extractive Industries Transparency
Initiative (NEITI) says Akwa Ibom received the
highest allocation of N116.6 billion from the
federation account in 2016.
Orji Ogbonnaya Orji, the Director, Communications
of NEITI, made this known in a statement on
Thursday in Abuja.
According to the latest Quarterly Review of the
Federation Accounts Allocation Committee (FAAC)
by NEITI, Lagos and Rivers followed Akwa Ibom
with N109.3 billion and 103.98 billion.
The report, which is the third in the series by
NEITI, examined the breakdown and analysis of
disbursements from the federation account to the
three tiers of government.
It also looked at the Internally Generated
Revenues (IGR) of the states in 2016.
The report showed that Kwara and Ebonyi
received the least federal allocations of N30.08
billion and N30.09 billion.
On allocation to local governments, the report
said that Lagos topped the table with a total of
N69.29 billion allocated to the 20 local
governments in the state.
It showed that the 44 local governments in Kano
State received a total of N56.16 billion also in
2016.
On disbursements to the Federal Government in
2016, the report disclosed the total FAAC
allocation stood at N2.08 trillion as against the
N6.06 trillion budgeted for that year, which
represented about 34 per cent of the budget.
It noted that the implication could be linked to
the noticeable challenges by the Federal
Government to meet recurrent expenditure needs
estimated at N2.6 trillion in 2016.
The report highlighted that payments to the three
tiers of government had continued to decline by
an average of 40 per cent between 2013 and
2016.
“The Federal Government received N3.711 trillion
in 2013 and this fell by 43.9per cent to N2.08
trillion in 2016,’’ the report said.
Similarly, disbursements to State Governments
totalled N3.095 trillion in 2013.
According to the NEITI, in 2016, States received
N1.642 trillion, which represented a 46.9 per cent
decline on the 2013 figures; local governments
received total disbursements amounting to
N1.011 trillion in 2016.
It said that this was 40.7 per cent lower than the
figure of N1.708 trillion they received in 2013.
Comparing 2015 and 2016 figures, NEITI’s
publication disclosed that the revenues disbursed
by FAAC to the three tiers of government fell by
15 per cent from N6.011 trillion in 2015 to N5.121
trillion in 2016.
Other features of the review were in the areas of
IGR of the federation, the rising debt profiles and
the concern of Nigerians for state governments to
lessen dependence on federal allocations.
NEITI noted that Nigerians wanted the state
governments to reduce dependence on federal
allocations througtheirh creative means of
developing capacity to increased IGR.
“IGR is very low in most states and it is only in
two states of Lagos and Ogun that the IGR is
higher than FAAC allocations.
“Figures show that total revenue by itself cannot
fund states budget,’’ it said.
The report added that the revenues of all the
states government fell drastically short of the
budgets projections.
It cited some states like Lagos which had a
budget of N662.60 billion, but the total revenue
that accrued to it was N410.5billion leaving a
shortfall of about N252 billion.
Adamawa had revenue of N41.05 billion against a
budget of N130.10 billion; while Nassarawa had
revenue of N32.5 billion to fund a budget of
N77.30 billion.
It further stated that some states such as Cross
River, Sokoto, Borno, Jigawa, Osun and Plateau
had total revenues in 2016 which were below 30
per cent of their budgets.
Read Also: Photos of the N49million cash
recovery intercepted at Kaduna airport
The report noted that the debt profile of the state
governments were rapidly on the increase.
The review showed that Lagos State had the
highest debt of N603.25 billion as against the
state’s revenue of N410.5billion for 2016.
It said that this was followed by Delta with
N331.95 billion debt as against N142.28 of its
revenue.
It said Osun and Akwa Ibom states took the third
and fourth place on rising debt profile with
N165.91 billion and N161.23billion.
According to the report, Yobe and Anambra stood
out clearly as states with the least debt burden,
while Yobe was indebted to the tune of
N11.74billion.
Anambra owed N20.60billion, according to NEITI-
FACC report.
On rising debt profile, it said the case of Osun,
Cross River and Delta states raised major
concerns giving the fact that their total
borrowings were found by the NEITI to be more
than double the total revenues accruing to the
states.
NEITI maintained that “considering that most
states already have a high debt burden, the
possibility of even higher debts for the states
remain quite high.”
The report, however, projected that government
revenues would increase following upward
movement in global oil prices.
‘’Oil production which was down from January to
August 2016, has started rising.”
The report noted that there had been a gradual
rise in oil prices from 30.70 dollars per barrel in
2016 to 54.58 dollars per barrel in January 2017.
It added that If this trend continued, government
revenue would likely increase and would improve
the ability of both Federal and State governments
to fund their budgets.

Signs Your PC Is About To Crash - Programming

Computer crashes can sincerely be frustrating –
one moment your PC seems fine and then next
it’s down and takes your files along with it.
However, as suddenly and seemingly unexpected
computer crashes can be, they do give signs
beforehand. Jumia Travel, the leading online
travel agency reveals 6 issues your PC is likely to
have before it crashes.
Hardware Conflict
Sometimes, two components of a PC will try to
consume the same resource or perform the same
task. This creates a hardware conflict which
manifests itself in unusual behavior during certain
tasks. An example of this is an audio conflict that
might disable audio in some programs, but not in
others. These conflicts might not initially crash
the system, but they tend to cause instability in
the system which leads to a Blue Screen Of Death
(BSOD) and/or a reboot.
To fix this, you should open the Windows’ Device
Manager (you can find this in the Control Panel or
via Windows Search) and check for hardware with
a conflict. Hardware with a conflict typically
appears with a yellow exclamation point next to
it. You can re-install drivers for the
malfunctioning hardware, or if you can’t stop the
two components from interfering with it each
other, try disabling one of them. If that still
doesn’t work, then you probably have to
physically remove one of the conflicting
components (a technician should be able to help
with this).
Random File or Program Corruption Issues
This is one of the classic signs of an imminent
computer crash. This is when files that always
worked suddenly don’t open, or only work on
occasion. It may or may not be accompanied by
an error message. To fix this, you should first
ensure your anti-virus is running and up to date.
Then you should run a full system scan for
malware. A virus can sometimes be the cause of
this issue. Another cause is a failing hard drive,
so you should also check this for problems. If this
doesn’t reveal the problem, look for hardware
conflicts in the Windows Device Manager. A driver
issue might be the cause.
Slow, Unreliable or Noisy Mechanical Hard Drive
Though Mechanical Hard Drives have become
reliable over time, they still contain mechanical
components that eventually wear out over time.
So, the failure of these parts is a reality that
users should prepare themselves for.
If programs are taking a long time to load, files
don’t always open, or the sound of the driver has
become louder when it’s working, then it’s likely
the hard drive is wearing out. You can check the
drive for errors, but please don’t consider yourself
problem free if the result shows no errors. It is
better to backup data to be safe.
Noisy System Fan
If your PC fan is suddenly louder than normal it’s
because its internals are too warm. This can
eventually lead to a crash and even hardware
damage. SpeedFan, a PC monitoring tool, can
help you investigate the problem and give you
information on the temperatures your CPU and
GPU are reporting. If the problem persists, you
can take your PC to a technician to open up your
desktop and clean out its fan, or replace the
cooling pad with a new one.
Random Software and/or Adware Launches
If software launches without your permission, it is
likely that your PC is a victim of malware. Often,
the programs that appear are linked to one
advertisement or the other, but Trojan can allow
this avenue of attack. Also, if certain hardware
like the webcam tends to activate without your
consent, this is also part of the issue. This
tampering eventually leads to problems with your
PC as your PC is slammed with unwanted
programs or its files are corrupted maliciously.
Solving this problem is not very easy, but you can
remove the malwares and properly clean up your
PC after an attack. An easier solution would be to
make sure your files are backed up and then
perform a clean re-install of Windows.
Occasional Boot Errors
When your system occasionally shows errors
when you are booting your PC, it’s one of the
signs to consider. The error message is usually
along the lines of “boot device not found”. The
Windows might eventually fail to reboot after the
message, but might work at a later time or
immediately if you press the reset button.
Occasional boot errors are generally a sign that
something is wrong with your hard drive, or that
your Windows installation has become corrupt.
The common and usually the only way to fix this
problem is to replace the drive and/ or re-install
Windows.

Analysis Of UEFA Champions League 2017 Quarterfinals

We are getting to the business-end of the
Champions League and many of the usual
suspects in recent years are still around with a
few interesting teams remaining in the
competition. Here are my thoughts on the
quarterfinals:
Atletico Madrid vs. Leicester City
Going by Diego Simeone’s impressive record in
this competition which has seen Atletico reach 2
finals in the last 3 years, it is difficult not to pick
them to advance against gutsy Leicester City. It
is not like Leicester do not have a chance, afterall
they just knocked-out Sevilla which is a very
good Spanish team. However, there is something
about Atletico Madrid in the Champions League
that makes them very hard to beat over 2 legs.
Dortmund vs. Monaco
I am sure football fans around the world are
rubbing their palms with glee over this one. 2
attacking sides going head-to-head with Pierre
Emerick Aubemeyang coming up against Radamel
Falcao and company. This is a tie both sides can
win and they will fancy their chances but I am
giving Monaco the edge in this tie because they
have shown a lot more consistency in the French
Ligue 1 this season than Dortmund have in the
Bundesliga. Consistency may just be what
separates the 2 sides, I will not be surprised if
this tie ends 11-11 on aggregate.
Bayern Munich vs. Real Madrid
There isn’t likely going to be much fear here as 2
of European football’s heavyweights clash. Carlo
Ancelotti will be returning to his previous team
which is still largely unchanged from when he
was around with a Bayern team that seems intent
on annihilating any opposition home or away (just
ask Arsenal). However, it is rare to have Real
Madrid enter a tie as underdogs and I do not see
them as such. This tie could be one of fine
margins with some star missing a great chance or
scoring a great goal being the difference. If I have
to go for a winner though, it will be Bayern
despite the presence of Bale, Benzema and of
course World Footballer of the Year, Cristiano
Ronaldo in the Real Madrid team.
Juventus vs. Barcelona
Barcelona really should not be here but they are
and as such, I have to say they are favourites,
how will Dani Alves cope with playing against his
Barca friends? Juventus are a very good team
and can match any team in Europe on their day.
However, Barcelona are not likely to be
complacent after their close shave with defeat
against PSG. Paulo Dybala and Gonzalo Higuain
might think they have a chance but with Luis
Suarez, Neymar and Messi showing that they
have the grit to go with their incredible talent, I
find it difficult to see how Juventus can defeat
them over 2 legs.
